"Steve Carroll" <noone@xxxxxxxxxxx> stated in post
noone-70FD7F.17482712092007@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx on 9/12/07 4:48 PM:

Edwin:
What's "uninformed" about that?

Carroll:
What's informed about it? He provided nothing in the way
of substance... he didn't inform anyone about anything...

So my "attitude" was "uninformed" because I failed to provide "support" for
my statements?

Hmmm. Very strange...

Not considering the definition of the word attitude: "A manner of acting"...
think of it as a 'stance' if it helps you.

When you made your OSX statements you provided no support, therefore, to me,
you looked as uninformed about OSX as you usually look.

So when you make statements and accusations, Steve, but provide no support
and, in some cases, even admit that you cannot do so (at least to the person
you a "targeting") then you *do* realize you "look" uninformed.

To help avoid confusion for you: "uninformed" does not mean what you
indicated it did in the quote at the top of this post.

....
Donald, do you believe "uninformed" means what Steve indicated he thought
it did in the quote above?

The meaning of the word "uninformed" is "not informed." That should be
evident to anyone who finished H.S. previous to 1970.

Anyone who uses it in any other context is a complete idiot.

un?in?formed (?n'?n-formd') Pronunciation Key
adj. Not having, showing, or making use of information; not informed:
uninformed voters; an uninformed decision.

There ya go... don't say I never taught you anything.

One: thanks for taking my advice to look up the word...
Two: what do you think you taught - or even tried to teach - Donald by
providing a definition for a word he, no doubt, know the meaning of?

....
Great! You got it right, NOW tell us how you meant the word "uninformed" in
that context...

I just gave you the meaning via an extremely common dictionary definition...
you can apologize any time you'd like to for calling me an idiot when you were
shown to be the idiot here who was talking out of his ass.

Edwin:
What's "uninformed" about that?

Carroll:
What's informed about it? He provided nothing in the way
of substance... he didn't inform anyone about anything...

Clearly the way you speak in response to the word "uninformed" does not fit
the definition you finally looked up.

Do you understand what it means to be "informed"?

There is no reason to doubt he does... but you showed you did not understand
what it meant.

....
Bonus question: Is an uninformed opinion a 'person' or a "who"? LOL!

Grammatically, such a thing would be a "what", since "opinions" are not
"persons".

No ***, sherlock.... my but you're quick.

LOL! He need not be quick to show you are wrong.

Perhaps you should go back to Elementary School before you attempt to give
snit (or anyone) lessons in English Grammar, Steve. You won't look so
foolish.

LOL!

Steve: you do.
