One-button Trackpad - One-button, two buttons, 5-buttons. Don't
care.
I
HATE
track pads!
Trackpads make the most sense for portables/laptops. What else
would
you propose? An eraser-like thing stuck in the keyboard? YUCK! A
minitrackball? Yuck! I like my trackpads. Guess it's just a
personal
preference. But short of hanging a mouse off it I don't see any
other
reasonable solution. And where I normally use my laptop, a
conventional
mouse just doesn't work well at all.
I use a mouse. See, trackpads don't work for me. I put my finger
to
one
and
the cursor jumps all over the place. If I want to drag something,
I'll
capture it with the button, and then drag my finger across the
pad.
The
object I'm trying to drag will stick, then jump to someplace I
don't
want
it
to jump. Often just dragging a file from one folder to another
takes
4
or
5
tries to get it where I want it. I've been told that trackpads
work
best
for
people with moist of oily skin and they drier one's skin the less
well
they
function. I must have very dry hands and fingers, because I find
trackpads
to
be useless.
There used to be an Australian outfit called Outback that made
notebook
portables out of recycled Mac Plus ROMs (this is before Apple
introduced
their first portable). They had a pointing device that worked
like
rolling
a
pencil on a desk. The ends of the roller (a ceramic-like rod)
were
captured
and there was a trough around the roller. To move up and down you
rolled
the
"pencil" with your forefinger and to move right and left you just
applied
side pressure as you rolled. It was without a doubt the best
pointing
device
for a notebook computer I've ever seen. Of course, Apple bought
Outback
and
both the brand and the pointing device disappeared forever....
I've
never
seen anything like it on any other laptop/notebook.
Most mice, do not work on a mac.
Odd then that my Radio Shack mouse works just fine on my MacBook
Pro.
Just goes to show you that you are a liar.
"Most" does not mean "all". For one who thinks they are so smart,
you're
not.
But, zero, the mouse I'm talking about didn't say it was Mac
compatible. And, others have pointed out that every mouse they tried
works with a Mac. Again, methinks you lie.
"every" How many is "every"?
Ask whoever made the claim, you idiot. I'm not the one who said that.
Buy referencing that in your post, you do claim that, Dickhead.
"Buy referencing"? You really are illiterate, aren't you?
Having said that, you are the only person I have seen make a claim of
mice that don't work on a Mac.
Google can be your friend. God knows you need one.
You are not one to talk, zero.
Kinda makes one wonder about your
honesty (OK, I know you are a liar).
The "liar" defense, again? Got to do better than that, Dickhead. Run,
DavieDickhead, run. Run fast, Vista has overtaken you already.
LIar is an accurate description of you. It is noted that all you have is
name calling, and copying my former taunt to you. You must really be
stupid if you can't come up with something original.
LOL at zero
