I've found out that the Belgian Beer Festival is going to be held in
the Grand Platz this weekend (see http://www.weekenddelabiere.be ).

Okay George...which ones would you suggest to be on your recommended
short(er) lists? Here's the shortcut to what is scheduled to be
available:

Mayor, you can recommend a few too. :-)

First, the good news. The Belgians probably brew more beer than any country
in Europe, including Germany. They have literally HUNDREDS of brands and
styles.

Now the bad news. I have been to Belgium and I have had many beers.
Unfortunately, I don't remember the names of any of them. The only advice
that I can give you is that I remember that I was always impressed by the
beers brewed by the Trappist Monks. I would always stop at any Trappist
brewery that I would pass, and I was never disappointed. Their beers were
usually a bit darker and more robust (which I like) than the commercial
Pilsners (called Pils by the Belgians). Enjoy.

Unfortunately for Clyde (Da Mayor of nowhere and nothing) Falstaff is not a
Belgian beer and you're unlikely to find it at your Belgian festival. That
means that he can contribute even less to this discussion than I can. :->

Tell us again, George, about your vast wealth while you live between
the freeway and an industrial zone, always the swank part of any town.

LOL! You couldn't afford a plot there big enough to put a case of Falstaff;)
