Like I said: Perhaps Mactards will let this "argument" die in 10 years or
so.
Longer than that. It'll take decades to replace even half the current
PCs with machines running Vista.
Man! You Mactards are in SERIOUS denial.

Which is no longer the current version of Windows. The problems been
addressed.
Any fool can "address" a problem. We've yet to see proof that Vista is
as secure as you claim.
Not a SINGLE piece of malware in the wild. Not ONE. And it's been out for almost 10 months.
Maybe, just maybe, if in a couple of years there's been no exploits then you can claim the problem's
been addressed *successfully* and Vista is as secure as Linux or OS X..
Shah! Windows XP was already just as secure as OS X. With Vista's improvements it leaps ahead of OS X.
Let it go.
We'll "let it go" when conditions justify. Until then, kindly refrain
from telling us what to do.
Then don't whine, moan, kick, scream, fart, and flutter when Windows advocates "invade" "you" forum and correct your incorrect and dated "arguments".
Assuming for a moment that Vista is as secure as you claim, why didn't
Billy Boy and his crew address the problem a decade ago, just as
exploits were becoming big business?
Because the end users weren't demanding it. Believe it or not for all the hoopla raised about security MOST END USERS REALLY DON'T CARE. Sure, they'll say they care. But if security interferes with what they need to do they'll avoid it. Take a look at Vistas UAC. Many people claim it's too noisy and therefore recommend turning it off. A prime example of convience being chosen over security. In the end they just don't care.
Had they done so then, a lot of pain and suffering would have been avoided. Microsoft should be sued to
bankrupcy.
LOL! Uh huh. That wouldn't have solved the problem. If Windows were to disappear something else would become popular. And it would then be the target of malware.
