Being completely honest....
Problems I have found with OSX...
When it can't read a CD, it locks the system up until it gives up.
Spinning beach ball leaves you with no choice but to hard reboot or
wait it out for several minutes.
While OS X does not handle CDs well, to be fair "only" the Finder locks up.
Still absurd.
Lack of network flexibility. When using multiple networks with
multiple settings, it is simply not as flexible as Vista, or even XP
for that matter.
In what way? You can configure multiple networks in any given location and
multiple locations.
Third party apps are a necessity for many basic functions that are
built into Windows.... FTP writes in the Finder, Scheduled
incremental backups, even the now infamous wi-fi display... (coconut
sucks BTW, it is running right now, I was 20 miles from home earlier,
and when I opened my Macbook there was a green dot with a 1 next to
it, but it was still showing my home wireless network, it never did
straighten out, I just used my Verizon 3G aircard as there was no Wi-
fi where I was sitting.)
Backups will be taken care of, presumably, with Leopard... but FTP writing
with the OS X Finder is just a silly omission. Not a big deal - CyberDuck
and others handle the job just fine, but it is silly Apple never added it.
Things I like about OSX...
Secure Empty Trash.
Yes...
Finders search function seems to work very well.
It has room for improvement... but sounds like Leopard will be offering some
of that. And it is good now.
It launches UB apps VERY fast.
And on a Macbook specific note, the battery life is truly amazing!
I do like the Macbook, I really see no advantages between OSX and
Vista one way or the other, there are very minor advantages to both as
outlined above, but both seem very fast and stable and cabable of the
exact same work, OSX shines in some areas, while Vista shines in
other.
Parallels on the other hand is truly amazing, once I got it running XP
and OSX on the same desktop I was truly impressed. The only thing I
have to use WIndows for is to locate trucks through the Penske
nationwide GPS system, it will not run on Safari or Firefox, only IE.
Oxford.. I am not lying to you, I almost took a picture with my phone
to show you, Coconut sucks.

? OS X is partially based on BSD (esp. FreeBSD)
? OS X users are at far less risk of malware then are XP users
? Photoshop is an image editing application
