Bush and friends get richer.

A couple of years ago your statement would have started a long
discussion with lots of accusations of anti-Americanism. Now even the
conservatives can't really attempt to defend this stuff. They'll be a
few insults, and the thread will die in about 10 posts. Their might
be one or two "You just want to cut and run." slogans, but no one will
attempt to pretend that there is some real chance of success in Iraq.

My only response to that is you can no longer blame the Republicans alone for
this lingering national catastrophe. The Democrats control both houses of
Congress. They've been sitting since the January 2007 session started. Yet, I
have seen no attempts by them to float any bill bringing the troops home.

Then you ought to pull your head out of the sand. There have been
several attempts to cut funding for the war. Bush says he'll veto
any bill that cuts war funding.

The
*** Bush and his band of thugs might have started this mess, but your
Democrats have had ample time and ample power to end it and haven't. Why is
that? Since January, the blood of each American soldier who dies is equally
on the hands of both parties.

Ample time? Are you joking? You expect an instant answer for this
mess, and if the Democrats can't come up with it, they're "equally"
responsible? It wasn't Democrats who sent more troops over the
objections of just about the whole country.
