is very unimpressive so far...
1- rendering *might* be faster (not noticeable), but holy crap, the program itself renders slooowwwwww....when resizing, it leaves blocky chunks all over the screen for a couple seconds
http://www.atwistedweb.com/DOCS/safari_resize.jpg
2- sticks out like a sore thumb- uses own windows widgets for some reason- at least itunes uses windows looking widgets
3- carries over some crappy mac behavior, like only being able to resize from the lower right. also something that they got right on itunes, but not safari.
3a- clicking on taskbar does not minimize the window
4 - (just for sandman) way glossier than firefox and ie
i like the demo on the apple website- 'safari even lets you search within a page' - haha, yeah, that's a feature that hasn't been around for a decade on every browser.
Yup, I get the same thing. On a Core2Duo running 2.44GHZ, 4 gig of ram, Nvidia Geforce 7950GT. Running XP Pro. So it's not a hardware speed problem.
By doing several captures, it seems they are moving the window to the upper left corner, and then resizing.
It does seem to render a tad faster. But not enough to get me to change from Firefox.
