And yet again we see Windows being used to advocate the Mac. Too funny!

It's the difference between the power of "AND" vs. the weakness of "OR".

Eventually all machines will embrace this, including the ability to run
legacy applications on legacy OSes.

I don't really care. Windows runs all the software out there.

Does it run Garageband? Does it run Aperture? Does it run Final Cut Pro?

It runs equivalents to these.

No need for me to run anything else. That's why I use Windows.

Has it ever occurred to you that just because you don't need the aforementioned apps, doesn't mean nobody else needs them.

Irrelevant.

Not for some love
of Microsoft. Not for some love of Windows. Not for some hatred of Apple. Not for some hatred of OS X. Simply it runs all the software out there without the need for this kind of expense and hassle.

I strongly disagree with what you're saying. Starting up an application is hardly a hassle.

Buying, installing, configuring, and starting an application is compared to not having to do it. Especially when the program being started is done to run the alternative that doesn't require you to have to jump through these hoops. Kind of ironic don't you think?

Creating OS agnostic platforms and applications is great. As long as a new feature brings something new and useful to the Mac platform, it's great.

I see no benefit given that you could just use one that does it all. Especially given that you'll end up using that product anyway.
