That alone tells what a sick person YOU are. I rest my case.

Devastating retort, George. You're going to have to give me a couple
of weeks to recover. I couldn't help but notice a lack of refutation
and denial though....

Its not meant as a retort. It's merely an observation.

1) A normal Windows user wouldn't come here in the first place (billions
don't, after all).

'Normal' users of any OS don't come here. Most people aren't on Usenet
at all. Most Mac users aren't here either. Your point is meaningless.

But the point is that you AREN'T a Mac user, Clyde.

I don't need to be to come here. You're only making yourself look
foolish by insisting that I do.

In fact you demonstrate nothing but disdain for any and all Apple products. Infact, its more than
simple disdain, its out-and-out hostility.

We've been over this many times. Apple and its products are immaterial
to me. I don't think they provide value equal to the premium Apple
charges for them but that's about all I feel towards them. If Apple
started providingd a solution at a price I was willing to pay I'd
switch to them tomorrow.
No, its you guys and your absurd attitudes towards Apple that is the
draw here. You'd be equally hilarious and mockable if you'd hitched
your egos to Kohler faucets, Jolly Green Giant vegetables or Target
department stores. But you didn't. You hitched them to Apple and its
products. And that's why we're all here together in an Apple group. It
really has nothing to do with Apple on this end of things.

Do "normal" PC users do that? I
don't think so,

'Normal' computer users aren't here at all. And consider that I was
perfectly happy in my Windows group until Ragosta started cross
posting like mad and I investigated the source. So if it really pisses
you off that I'm here drop Joe and little thank you note.
I can't help but notice that you never labelled him 'insane' for all
of his crossposting and invasions of Windows groups. Its the old
Maccie double standard at work, I suppose.

2) A sane, secure, Windows user wouldn't care what went on in a Mac NG.

The purpose of this group is to compare the Mac to other systems.

Yes, when are you going to start?

When are you?

More importantly, what has that to do with
sane, secure Windows users?

Its the purpose of the group. Windows users can compare the Mac to
Windows as well as a Maccie can.

You
can keep denying that and keep on insistingthat this is supposed to be
a Mac cheerleading camp but you'll just be wrong.

I never intimated that it was anything other than a place to compare
platforms. But you and your fellow travellers, for the most part, don't do
that. You denigrate, belittle, make fun of, and are, generally just plain
nasty, sick people.

Perhaps you should check out yours and yourfellow travellers' post
sometime.

3) A sane, secure, Windows user, having accidentally dropped into this NG,
would shrug his shoulders and immediately leave.

LOL! Not once he got a gander at the insanity you Maccies rant on
about in here.

There's no insanity here.

LOL! That's all that comes from the Maccie side.

What you see is a reaction (sometimes an
overreaction, to be sure) to the constant attacks by mindless trolls and
WinScum.

George reaches out in the friendliest manner he knows about.

What I see are a bunch of immature people who are so invested in a
mass produced consumer good and the company that makes it that they
need to make up stories about how original, creative and unique it is.
You guys really seem to believe that if you buff up the image of Apple
and its products that some of that shine will get on you since you use
it. That's about as rational as thinking that you're going to become a
world class swimmer by standing next to the pool, but there you go.

I wish you had the ability to step back and observe
this group with an objective eye. You'd see how hilarious you guys
are.

4) A little less sane and secure Windows user might post one post: "Macs
Suck" and move on.

I can't help but notice thaty you are trying to define your opponents
as being insane. Zah, Stalina!, eh George?

You are. Its the only logical conclusion.

Actually the only logical concluion is the one that you've ben told
several times. However, since to believe the truth you'd haveto
believe tht their might be something less than perfect about you, you
reject it in favor of your asinine, Soviet psychiatry inspired
delusion. Good luck with that.

5) The sick, totally insecure about their platform choice, would come here
and stay.

Don't be so hard on yourself, George.

Guess which group you're in?

I don't know, Soviet psychiatrist George. Which GULAG do you want to
stick me in?

alt.windows-xp

Sorry but I'm staying here. You guys are funnier than any sitcom.

More importantly, look at your fellow travelers:

Pratt - a psychopath

zara - another psychopath

Edwin - a loser from the word "go"

PC Guy - a knowledgeable zara

Slade - a Windows fanatic with commercial interests feeding his fanaticism

LOL! Zah, Stalina! tothe end, eh? What you fail to notice is those
guys are so successful at jerking your chain that they can make you
and your fellow Maccies sing a song at will. Its hilarious to watch.

There are other, lesser members of the WinScum club, but those are the main
ones - along with yourself, that is. All of these guys seem to be
marginally
educated blue-collar workers. None are professionals (AFAICT). Some seem
relatively bright, but most are as dull as dirt.

Setting aside the blatant clasism, how would you know what any of them
do?

Contrast these with the Mac users:

1) Most of us use our real names

a) At least as many Macciesuse handles as do Windows users in here.
b) This only becomes an 'issue' when a Maccie is on the losing end of
an argument.
c) I've never sen a Maccie take another Maccie totask for using a
handle. I have seen a Maccie have a screaming fit about me using a
handle and then post under one himself.
d) You supported Joe when he was insisting tht we all use his handle
so you're clearly a hypocrite on the issue.

2) Most of us have college degrees

LOL! Yeah just ask Polaski. Seriously, most Maccies don't seem bright
enough to have graduated from the third grade let alone college.

Funny, I was going to make the same comment about most of your fellow
travelers.

No surprise. You've already labelled us all 'insane' because we don't
agree with you. I'm sure your Bloated Ego has al lsorts of nasty names
for those who dare to disagree with the Great George Graves.

But
what does it matter? Are you going to try and equate intelligence with
a degree?

No. Just trying to show, that on average, Mac users are better educated than
most Windows users.

Something that is not in evidence.

The brightest guy I ever met was a high school dropout. The
dumbest SOB I ever met had multiple advanced degrees.

There are exceptions to everything.

Except its not an exception, per se. Education has nothing to do with
intelligence at all. People educated in a field may know about that
field than others but that doesn't make them smarter than anyone else.

3) Most of us are professionals, many in creative fields

I'm sure that almost everyone in here is in some kind of professional
field.

Like YOU for instance? LOL!

Yep. 'fraid so, George. I work out of an office in a mid-sized
company. If you worked in a couple of certain fields we'd be a
household name to you. If you don't work in those fields you've
probably never heard of us.
No, I'm not going to name the company either.

4) None of us ever feel the need to post to Windows news groups, don't care
who uses Windows or why - and are secure in our platform choice.

The way you have to grossly inflate the contributions of Apple and
puff up every little thing that comes out of Cupertino shows that you
are far from secure in yor platform choice.

Since I don't do the above, I am.

LOL! You're practically the Puffer in Chief!

And you don't go to
Windows groups because they're not as entertaining not being populated
by a bunch of rah-rh kooks like the Maccies in here.

We don't go there because we DON'T CARE what's going-on in the Windows world.
Its a dull place full of dull people.

Well its certiainly not as exciting as here. You won't see anyone
claiming that Microsoft i responsiblefor every computer oriented
advance in history, for example.

Makes you think, doesn't it?

It makes me thing that you're full of both *** and yourself.

I doubt seriously if anything makes you think, Clyde, I'm sorry I brought it
up.

Of course you are. You got an answer that you didn't like.

It also makes me reflect on how you constantly lie about Windows

I never lie about Windows. All I've ever said about it is that I don't like
it, and I don't.

And then you go on to make up a bunch of crap about things it does
that no one else has ever seen.
If you're not even willing to be honest with yourself, I'm afraid that
you're lost.

and lie about where you live.

You're confused. You're the one who lies about where I live. Not me.

We've been over this before. Even you weren't able to find a single
online map that placed your address where you said it was. Even a ten
year old map CD I have placed that address right where all the online
services placed it. if its wrong then how come everyone got it wrong
in exctly the same way? How is it possible that maps for your city
have been wrong for at least ten years without anyone noticing?

It makes me recal about how you love to regale us with
tales about how much money you have and all the expensive things you
own but live in a dump on the poor side of town.

Clyde calls me a liar while lying - a new low, even for him. How many times
do I have to tell you. That place doesn't exist any more?

You clearly lied about a simple, eqsily checked thing like an address.
Why should I believe you about this?

Go ahead, send a
letter to my old address and watch it get kicked back to you by the post
office.

Or by you.

Those places were torn-down almost a year ago. And it was NEVER the
"poor side of town".

Because the neighborhood between the freeway and the industrial park
is always the prosperous side of town.

That's your tale and at the time you made it up, several
people here who have lived in this area refuted it

Actually 'several' consisted entirely of Steve Carroll (Not exactly
Mr. Veracity himself.) who didn't say he had lived in the area but had
been through ityears ago. I recall him saying something tthe effect of
'It wasn't that bad' - hardly a ringing endorsement.

(and you ignored their
input as you ignore any info that's counter to your (usually) lying position
on any subject).

Says the guy lying a few paragraphs up.
But that's par for the course. To a Maccie a lie is something that he
doesn't want to hear. Truth doesn't enter into it for them.
