you mean final cut, logic pro... not imovie and garageband

well sure... both of these product are 'dumbed down' versions of the
'pro-quality' products. based from the same code.

The sentiment is the same however, both are products that Apple
bought, not innovated themselves. Not that there is anything wrong
with that, but you can't belittle MS from doing it with Halo, without
acknowledging Apple's identical behavior.

wrong jerry. imovie code is not related to final cut, neither is garage
band to logic... they are fully separate code bases... perhaps you are
thinking of... (but probably not, since you know little about apple)

yes, but apple took rudimentary code in house and polished it to a high
sheen. Halo on the other hand is still programmed by Bungie, MS simply
bought the company and stamped its name on it. Big difference.

Actually, Apple used former Emagic employees for that polishing,
specifically under the direction of Gerhard Lengeling. Sure he is an
Apple employee now, and the coders at Bungie are now Microsoft
employees.

Wikipedia says the following about imovie...

"Macromedia Keygrip (Later called Final Cut) * in 1998 was
purchased from Macromedia and became the underlying code base for
iMovie"

May be right... may be wrong.. but certainly more credible than your
opinion.- Hide quoted text -

When did people start using Wikipedia as a credible source? Whether
you are right or wrong, quoting Wikipedia is not exactly a way to win
