"Amid ³significant customer demand,² Dell has returned to offering
Windows XP rather than Vista as an option on some of its consumer PCs.
Starting immediately, Dell said, it is adding XP Home and Professional
as options on four Inspiron laptop models and two Dimension desktops."

The winnuts say Vista is selling beyond belief....hmmmmmmm....
Which "winnuts" would that be?
Jim is just having trouble processing a company following customer's
demands. He's used to a company telling him what he wants and him
snapping a salute and saying 'Yes, sir!'
Hmpft....I think it's responsive of Dell and bad for M$.
Why? The number of people who "demanded" this back makes the Macs market share look huge in comparison. Face it...Vista will be successful regardless of your irrational desire for it to fail.

Fact is Vista appears better than XP.

Your thoughts seem clouded (surprise!). What are you trying to mumble here, Jim?

That so many users don't want to
upgrade is not a good thing.

Why not? Will MS be losing money? Isn't the adoption rate of Vista significant, nonetheless?

The impact though of Dell going back and
selling new XP boxes when Vista is here is significant in that there must be some big enough numbers for Dell to do so.

How do you know this? Are you pulling this out of your you-know-what *again*?

The only thing I'm used to is your lying in nearly every post you make.
