Uh no, it was not. It was written to state, accurately I might add, that
Vista sales were twice that of XP.
Including the fact that the PC Market today is twice of that of XP.
Probably true. But that doesn't change the fact that Vista sales were twice that of XP.
Anything else is just a strawman.
Only if you use the terms "strawman" and "spin-doctor" interchangably.
Fair enough. If you want to call what you're doing spin-doctoring instead of building strawman I won't stop you. Either way you're being dishonest.
Strawmen are not lies.
Neither are Spin-Doctors ... Technically.
You should know.
It seems the Mactards are very frightened of Vista
for some reason.
The only people who are acting afraid are the ones who can't bear to
admit simple things, like that selling 2x units in a market that's now
2x larger is not a sign of real progress: it only means that you've
not fallen behind...ie,
Who are the people who can't bear this news? So people aren't upgrading in droves. Which just goes to show how practical Windows users are. If they're using something that already works then why upgrade? Windows XP, contrary to the Mactards whining, works very well. If I hadn't needed a new PC I would have stayed with Windows XP too. I see little value to moving just for the sake of moving. Does this mean that Vista is a failure? Certainly not. It just doesn't offer enough to justify spending money on it. This is just common sense and being practical. Something Mactards, it seems, are unfamiliar with.
"Whoo Hoo! We've maintained STATUS QUO!"
