George, X360 supports 1080p, as in progressive, which is a *lot* more
bandwidth than 720p.
That depends. Where does it get this 1080p? Does the game circuitry create it
for the games? Because I'll tell you this, if it merely up-converts 1080i to
1080p, then no, it doesn't have any more resolution than 720p (it has less).
And I'm reasonably sure that 1080p isn't broadcast anywhere in the world that
I'm aware of, there are no 1080p DVDs, there are no 1080p tapes, in short,
outside of a laboratory, there is no 1080p content. TVs and DVD players that
advertise 1080p merely up-sample to that resolution. There is no more actual
content that that which was broadcast or (in the case of DVD) burned onto the
media.
