Okay, I ordered a 24" iMac and the new airport router.
I got to wondering why I got no notification of them, not even a
confirmation email on the order. I *know* they have my address,
but it has worked in the past for other orders, and I get the
little marketing blurb stuff from them periodically. (Yes, I
could turn it off probably).
Well anyway, luckily I had printed the order page when I
submitted it, so I went and the order status lookup on the web
and sure enough not only is the order in the system, but the
iMac itself has already shipped, the base station is supposed to
ship in 2-4 days, and the applecare package is supposed to ship
(their tense bug, not mine) on the 19th or 20th and be delivered
on the 21-26th. yes, they seem to have a time warp. :-) I'm
guessing the little applecare booklets are backordered
or something, and don't really care.
Also, when I login and go to track orders, it does NOT show the
order for any of the above under my appleID login. Yes, the
shipping data, name/address/etc. is all correct on the order,
but when I login and look at orders to me, it's not there. It's
like the order itself got entered under some other id than the
one I have been using for the last 2 years.
Anyway, just sort of strange that I never got any notification
or tracking stuff emailed to me as usual, but I guess that's
why.
Take this OT stuff to alt.lamers.whining.
You're a riot.
