You should leave here and keep you to yourself.

The guy didn't even post any specific problems he was having.

When I slagged Windows Media Player and WMV, I gave specific reasons why
they suck, based on analysis of UI behavior, measurements of file size,
evaluation of video quality, and discussions with software engineers. In
contrast, niceparking is just a second-rate troll.

I find that Windows Media Player is way better than Quicktime.
The controls of WMP are better. You can FF and REW with WMP. The video
quality is not an issue for either as WMP can play any format at any
quality. QuickTime's very primitive interface sucks. The full screen
mode sucks. There are much better video players out there. Quicktime is
best used if you have nothing that plays .mov files. I can't speak as
to software engineers' thoughts. They don't matter. The end user and
ease of use matter and Quicktime is a primitive interface.

What a fascinating glimpse into the mind of a FUDster. The QT player
has fast forward and back buttons too, and you can also just grab the
time marker and drag it to the point in the video you want to see.
The WMP UI was modeled on the QT player's UI (and not particularly
well, I might add.)

With QT you can *also* play the movie at different speeds... even backwards
at different speeds. The "secret" is to hold the option key as you click
the back or forward keys... I think it might be control on Windows...
