problem.

I thank you in advance.

Face it: Microsoft Bluetooth is TERRIBLE, even on XP or Vista, or on non-Apple
computers. And is even worse on Apples.
Ask him this question:

Did he install the Macintosh Drivers for XP disk? It includes an Apple keyboard
driver for the Apple Wireless keyboard. This driver works VERY POORLY with
non-Apple keyboards/mice, and it also works poorly with Windows because of the
Microsoft Bluetooth stack.

USB wireless keyboards and mice work MUCH better with XP or Vista.
If his Apple has built-in Bluetooth, he is going to have NOTHING but trouble
with Apple Bluetooth devices in Microsoft. The Microsoft Bluetooth stack is
installed by default if XP sees a Bluetooth receiver. This stack CONFLICTS with
the Apple Bluetooth Receiver.

His best bet is to purchase a Logitech MX5000 Desktop for Bluetooth. It has a
FANTASTIC mini-receiver, and uses its own Bluetooth stack (Widcomm). With the
latest drivers, it makes working with Bluetooth a pleasure, not a burden. When
the Logitech installer recognizes its own mini-receiver, it gives the user a
choice of using either the Microsoft stack, or Logitech's own (Widcomm). Their
advice is NOT to use the Microsoft stack. I firmly agree with them. The
Microsoft stack is poorly written and conceived. DON'T use it. If one selects
to not use the Microsoft stack, the installer REMOVES it from the HD, and
replaces it with the Widcomm stack.
