I acknowledged that the facts are there -- what I complained about was
that they emphasize -- notice that word, please -- the MINIMUM
requirements for Vista, and that Aero Glass requires quite a bit more.

AGAIN, I never wrote anything that no one has hardware that can do it
-- only that the promotion of this product seems to be intentionally
misleading the consumers with MINIMUM requirements when they are likely
to look forward to the Aero Glass features.

Yes, again, Microsoft does actually list those requirements. But we all
knnow that everyone isn't going to read carefully and completely, and
regardless of the technical availability of the specs, there are going
to be many who do not read it all.
Microsoft may be taking advantage of that. They may just be promoting
the low-end features of Vista. But either way, it is quite predictable
that this technique is going to make many buyers upset -- even after
they get over the enormous price issue.
And that is all my point -- by having more than one set of
requirements, and promoting the one people are LESS interested in,
Microsoft is courting the devil, and the consumer is the only one that
is going to really be hurt.

Software vendor puts minimal requirements listings on software box...
more features available to those with faster/better machines....
More news at 10!

That's just stupid, Mitch. It's been that way ever since we had
upgradable computers.
