1. Even if you are stupid enough to buy a Mac. You are paying 50% more for a similar Dell to start with.(Use the 45% off any desktop over $1200 coupon).
I looked and looked, I even called Dell to ask... No dice, I call bull*** on your 45% off.

Whoopsie. I Macintard is wrong again. These mac jihadist are really losing it.

So you called them and they said this coupon wasn't valid huh? Surrrrreeee you did. Sure you did.

Wait, are you in education or an employee of Dell? For the sake of humanity or Dell, I hope neither.

2. Even if you are stupid enough to buy a Mac you still need to purchase the Dell for the hundred and thousands of things you can't do on the Mac. Plus your mac is not allowed anywhere near a proffesional office. 100% of all Mactards also own a Windows PC.... 100%!!!
The base price of the new Apple Mac Pro Quad Desktop ($2,499) might have some people reeling from sticker shock. But I decided to check the sticker price math. Take the Dell Precision Workstation 690, for example. When kitted out with two Intel Xeon 5150 2.66GHz dual-core processors, 250GB hard drive, 2GB of 667MHz RAM, and 16x DVD burner, which seems loaded, but you are paying $3,637. That’s over $1,100 more than the base Mac Pro, which has a similar configuration. And unlike the Mac Pro, which can run Windows XP via Boot Camp or Parallels... I wouldn’t expect to see any official Mac OS X supported on this Dell any time in the near future.

Why would Dell want to boot OSX? OSX is the *** OS of the computing world, and had to be able
to run the worlds most dominant OS in XP. Without XP, the Mac is even more of a joke. Hey if you feel like spending 5-10k on a iTunes machine more power to you. It's just an expensive toy.

3. You have to pay between $120-$200 for Apple's service packs every year.
And you don't with Dell? They have a warranty plan which requires $239 per year, for four different incidents. Windows upgrades are just as free as Mac upgrades

Why are you comparing Apple OS upgrades with some (unknown) Dell service plan? Most new systems come with 3 year onsite warranty included, or at a low cost. What is the $239 a year for? Calling them for 3rd party software problems?

Steve

Steve, I do apologize for not completing my rebut to this in the first place, I was late for something as it was, and didn't want to leave this post hanging.

What I was trying to get at, was that Windows XP versus Macintosh OS X, price comparison between major OS upgrades are marginal. What you end up paying for is warranty to fix software issues which are related to base Windows installations security wise (which is what Dell only offers). If they have 3 year on site warranty service, they are loosing money. When I did call, they where nice enough to explain this "some (unknown) Dell service plan" as an equivalent to the Apple Care plan. Which for some odd reason I felt like comparing this morning, but now have lost the desire to keep fueling the fire for this moron who clearly doesn't understand the first thing about computer culture.

I find that having a bias towards a type of computer, just because of some phase you once went through, how you where introduced to computers, or what your job which required the use of a specific computer in the workplace... This leads up to disaster. If you are not a computer enthusiast, you have no place to talk about computers in such a negative way, if you talk negatively about a certain kind of computers, you have no place around computers. That's my train of thought. Have a preference all you like, but that does not require argument with others about what they like.

My question to MuahMan, why do you persist on fighting this subject? Are you one of those people who didn't get enough hugs as a kid, so now you feel it necessary to terrorize innocent, quiet, people to get attention for yourself? Or is it that you feel so threatened by Apple products, especially the Macintosh line, that you engage in e*** fights with people who you know as well as I do, are more than prepared to pick apart your poorly stated, under researched, trolling post?
