Louderback is making good comments about the design and price of the
Mac Pro. Also points out that Apple may have the opportunity to make
some serious headway against Vista, if they would only license the OS.

I'm glad he likes the MacBook Pro, but OSX on generic hardware is a red
herring.
Short reason: Apple needs to run on hardware it has control over to
insure the user experience is as good as possible. You don't have to
hunt down driver updates for a Mac unless (sometimes) you are connecting
a USB or Firewire device. Also customer support: Apple doesn't want to
be saying to a user, "It's not us, it's your video card. Call them."
Now when things go bad, you make one call to Apple.
