Don't be so sure. Have you read the corrections? The original statement
was that the content providers don't want to allow HD playback if there is
unsigned code in the kernel, and that Microsoft won't be providing signed
32-bit drivers, so playback would not be allowed.

The correction is that (1) Microsoft isn't providing playback software at
all, for 32-bit or 64-bit, leaving that up to third parties, just like on
XP, and (2) Microsoft will be making the list of unsigned drivers in the
running system available to that third party code at runtime that it can use
to make the decision.

They don't actually say that the first guy was wrong about no HD in 32-bit
Vista. They just seem to be setting up to be able to say that they have
nothing to do with this--it's between the content providers and the third
parties that will provide the DVD player software.
