This October, I've head my MDD PowerMac G4 for 3 years.

Back when I got it, I originally installed 10.2. Then I upgraded to
10.3. Christmas 2005 came, and I upgraded to 10.4.

NEVER have I had to reformat and reinstall the system from scratch due
to errors, crashes or odd behavior.

I'd like to hear your records for "longest time OS have stayed installed
without necessitating a reformat & reinstall".

11 years, Nextstep 3.3. Of course, it was sitting in a closet for 5 of those.
