It appears to me that Leopard is going to be late (not this year as most expected, but next year), and the feature set is not yet set ( Job's said there were still 'surprises' to come, but he wouldn't say what). Kind of Microsoftish..
I wish I could remember which Mac site pointed this obvious but unspoken fact out, but I forget where I first saw it after reading so many Mac sites today..
It was here:

rosoft-delays-leopar/
how can it be late? it was just announced that it will ship in the Spring. So if Summer of 2007 comes and it hasn't been released, then it's late, but looks right on schedule, the beta will be in developer hands today.
It has been widely expected to be released this year. For example:

You can read more at tuaw, cited above.
Officially, of course, Apple doesn't typically announce release dates for just this reason - they might look "bad" by being late. Personally, I'd rather they were late than have a bad release.
and you need to watch the keynote, steve specifically says why they are keeping some features "secret", fun to watch...
I suppose if you are enamored of Mr. Jobs, you would find his sales pitches 'fun'.
It's always interesting to see a master salesperson at work. You know that what they're claiming isn't what they're actually trying to sell, but it's still great to see how they manage to fluff up nothing.
Nevertheless, there are features of Leopard they aren't talking about, and it is logical to assume that they are not totally sure if they will make it into the final release.
They had better be some very major features. They didn't demo anything that would make me want to buy Leopard.
