I am not getting that involved - I only know how Windows works. But my BIL
is a BIG maccie fanboy/expert. All I saw was lots of cables, an external
mac modem and the modem from Adelphia.



Basic response was that it wasn't "their" problem, but their In-Laws.


Of course, that then begs the question as to why they're complaining
about it here. Maybe we're actually talking to Zara's In-Laws :-)

FWIW, Adelphias' website does claim to support Mac's. The problem is
likely that the CD in their Install Kit is probably Windows-only.



Yeah - exactly. There is no mac setup on the install CD. But I used that
ISP a while back onone of my XP machines - no problems, maybe 15 minutes of
installation time.



I had the same problem with an ISP awhile back; the solution is to
phone them and ask the Tech for the TCP/IP settings. Ten minutes,
tops.

Oh- so you had a problem too- macs aren't supposed to do that. I think that
your "Ten minutes tops" is overly optimistic. They were on the phone with
tech support three times for a couple of hours. Didn't get anywhere

Adelphia is sending out a teck - sooner or later - Lets see - this simple
mac install was started Tuesday at 1:00 PM. I'll be happy to keep you
updated - this is both amusing and entertaining.

Keep putting out the smoke and mirrors though - I love mac apologists. I
get amused at contortions of the truth.
