Desperate to find a way to convince themselves that Apple was

glosses
over
the
importance of a previously expensive technology( for the
consumer)
was
brought

consumer adoption.
that's rich, Jim. but oh so true!
the mayor just doesn't understand how this industry works. it's
lots
of
backwater research, then finally, a GEM appears, and then Steve
Jobs
refines & defines the technology, polishes it, makes it very cheap
and
brings it to the world in a massive way.
LOL! Do you bow towards Cupertino five times a day to pray to your
god? I ask for information only.
the world and "the mayor" would still be using typewriters, first
class
mail and cassette players if Apple didn't exist.
LOL! You're on a roll! That's right, Apple invented everything. Its
because of blind cult members like you that this group is so
entertaining to thinking people.
the mayor seems like this group's whipping boy. gosh is he ignorant
or
what!
LOL! If realizing that Apple didn't invent everything and that it
isn't the center of the universe makes me 'ignorant' then I gladly
plead guilty.
The mayor of nothing, nowhere and nobody here shows his lack of
understanding of
"invented here" and 'evolution" in terms of a products development.
jimmiejimbob the liar shows his ass in public. And to think that some
people think he has no skills.
No one has claimed Apple INVENTED WiFi, mayor nowhere.
And when did you talk to everybody about this, jimmiejimbob the liar?
What they are claiming is
that Apple advanced the adoption by creating a solution *affordable"
by
the
consumer at a time when the only thing there was a vastly more
expensive
solution the consumer couldn't afford.
Yes it the Apple ate several thousand dollars in cost per unit claim
again. Like I said before - show me some evidence.
You show a remarkable ignorance of price vs volume.
Other companies didn't think that lowering the price would create the
volume to let them sell the product at a profit at that new lower price.
Apple did.
Apple led, others followed.
To repeat, since that's what it takes with you, look here:
http://www.msrl.com/airport-gold/
Which shows them using the same cards that you claim costs thousands
from everyone else.
Nope. It shows that the the *base stations* *using* the cards cost more
than twice what Apple offered the same functionality for.
Interesting that you felt it necessary to lie and call it "thousands"
though. Must be that Christian morality kicking in, huh?
Actually jimmiejimbob the liar claimed that everyone else was charging
'thousands' for the same products. Take it up with him.
I was there at Lucent, you weren't.
And you can document this with something other than flapping gums? And
like you've any idea where I've been.
What would you consider proof? A photo of me there when you don't know what I
look like? Or perhaps a letter from the CEO of Lucent? How about a letter from
the now gone head of the private school? Oh wait, all you'd believe is if you
where there which you couldn't be.
You just plain wouldn't know what it cost
back then for this school to install a WiFi set up in their location.
LOL! Drag goalposts much? first it was what equipment cost and now its
what it cost in this one specific implementation.
Those are the same things. You're the one dragging things around.
IOW, you're lying, again.
Says the guy who cliamed that Apple sold cheap HW made from other HW
that costs 'thousands' and has been bactracking ever since it was
pointed to him that this was obvious bullshit.
A WiFi set up in those days would have cost thousands to link the two buildings
so all computers could talk to one another. Remember in those days there was no
such things as an Airport base station and card. Then there was even the issue
of drivers. It would have been two base-station units talking to one another and
each of those were more than very expensive, to the point the school couldn't
afford doing this for the same reason they couldn't afford hard wire underground
to go under a street.
Take off your bias blinders and you might get it.
