First, KeyCue
Well, not so much for the experienced, but it could be really useful for
a new computer user or a convert from Windows.
It's a faceless application (no Dock icon) that you just run, and while
it's running any time you hold the Command key down for a moment longer
than usual (configurable, of course), KeyCue will show you a list of all
the available keyboard shortcuts in the current application.
Since I've got a couple of clients who are recent Mac converts, I'm
going to recommend they get it to help them learn to use the keyboard
where possible. There's no installer necessary and it only requires that
the user turn on "Enable access for assistive devices" in the preference
pane for Universal Access.
Next, Visor.
This definitely for the experienced and the geeks among us.
Visor is a SIMBL plug-in that lets you drop down a Terminal window with
just a keystroke. Simply keep terminal running and this will let you
access it with just a keystroke and then have it disappear entirely when
you're not using it. Great for those who want or need to use the command
line.
