So . . . .

I am told
welcome to the bright side of computing!

1) that Macs are relatively trouble-free as regards the various
forms of cyber-clap, and
actually they are TOTALLY free of that sort of thing, OSX is not
designed in such a way to allow for viruses, malware and other
problems that plague microsoft engineers.
Implying that Windows is *designed* to allow viruses. Shut the ***
up, mac cultie.

Implying that Windows is NOT *designed* to make it hard for viruses. Shut the *** up, incompetent Wintroll.

2) as a fairly knowledgable PC user, the learning curve in
shifting over to a Mac would be fairly short and painless, and
actually, it could be harder for you, you must unlearn poor
habits to move up the way it was designed in the first place. MS
copied the Mac, but didn't do a good job at it, so you need to
think "less complex" when dealing with a mac.
Insulting the OP. Brilliant idea, mac cultie.

"You are using Windows" sure is an insult. Brilliantly made up
"fact".
