I don't agree that the number is wrong -- it seems to me the number
should be much much higher. There are dozens of companies, experts and
solutions providers alike, who have been claiming at least this for
many many years.
I just don't see why Apple's recent use of the numbers should be the
target of so much discussion -- why aren't all of those other supposed
experts your targets?

Because they're competing against each other and no matter who you
chose, you're in about the same position. But Apple is taking the
numbers, knowing they are way off, and taking them out of context on top
of that, to incite people to drop Windows like a hot potato and start
buying Apple.

The Maccies obsession with Windows' security is really irrelevant. In
the end no one really cares about security. When someone has to forego
something for security people almost universally forego security for
that something.

Your claim that people do not care about security is beyond ludicrous and
shows how ignorant you are of the industry.

Is it? You guys have been yammering on and on about how secure the
Macintosh is. And how many people have switched from Windows to the
Macintosh as a result? Few. Nuff said.
