Caps Lock Under OSX

There used to be a freeware extension under the old Mac OS that allowed
the user to modify the caps lock key to require that one use option-caps
lock or some such. My big fingers keep accidentally hitting the caps
lock key on my Macs and its annoying (hey, no OS is perfect, right?).
I'd love to find some OSX utility that makes it impossible to
accidentally do this. Anybody know of such an OSX utility?
