I have to say that I have seen no evidence that having SSH access was
the vector which enabled the compromise of the system. It's merely
speculation as we don't know much about it.

Yeah, it was odd how the attack vector was never made public by either
party.
I have a feeling it was either (a) it never happened at all, or (b)
someone
was to embarrassed to say the vector was the front door.


I'll say this. If you guys are so confident in OS X, do this. Get a
copy of OS X and install it clean on a Mac. Turn of automatic updates, don't
use a firewall, router or anything but a direct connection to a modem, DSL
or otherwise. Then challenge people to hack into it and attack it with
exploits and see what happens. Then you'll get what I'm talking about.
