Now that I think about it, this has been a problem with Windows all
along. What kind of idiot would design a UI where it's common practice
to allow things to steal focus?
If I'm working in one window, or area, I damn sure don't want some
other thing just deciding that I really want to be doing something
else. (Although this seems to be common behavior for Windows where
you're doing something like browsing the web and the OS decides to
download a RAT for you. :-)
One of my major complaints about Windows has always been that it gets in
the user's way too much. It seems to be always popping up cryptic and
even meaningless dialog boxes while one is trying to work. This is one
thing that they really should fix. Unfortunately, when you're Microsoft
and have 95%+ of the market, why fix anything? What are people going to
do, install another OS? That's not likely and M$ KNOWS that.
