Yes exactly, both platforms seem to be evolving toward each other.

Yet I can't think of anything in OSX that would constitute "evolving
towards windows" in terms of look.

both also act very much the same,

Completely false, given the fact that OSX works and Windows does
not.

That Sir, is a childish statement.

Actually, it's an accurate statement.

Most of the Worlds computer users use
Windows.

Indeed.

If it did not work they would be using Apple computers.

Well, they should. :P

both will now run on any computer.

Incorrect. Windows won't run on PPC computers and OSX doesn't run
on
anything other than Macs.

The trend shows otherwise. The new generation of computers will run
anything.

But the current generation nor the coming generation does not.

It is very doubtful that Apple will increase
sales.

What you doubt is irrelevant.

Sir, I only expressed my opinion.

As did I.

No need to get your feathers ruffeled.

None are.

Many others agree with this also.

Which would also be irrelevant. :P

The OS that is most touted by computer manufactures and salesmen
is
Windows.

So?

Only a statement of fact.

Ok, no reason.

I am typing this on a HP computer running OS X.

So you're a criminal? Figures.

Sir, I am not a criminal. I am an electronics hobbyist. I do this
for
experimentation, not for profit.

But what you are doing is against the law - which means you are a
criminal.

That is only your opinion, Sir. Are you an attorney?

He doesn't need to be. That developer version of OSX/Intel that you
downloaded from some warez site (or wherever) was intended to be
distributed only to Apple developers under a non-disclosure agreement.
If you read that agreement, you would see that the conditions under
which that version of the OS was distributed strictly prohibits
distribution of the OS, copying of the OS or installing it on any other
than a designated machine.

http://developer.apple.com/membership/pdf/terms.pdf

It was unlawful for the warez poster to put the OS up on the web, it
was
unlawful for you to download it, it is unlawful for you to have that
copy, it is unlawful for you to install the copy on your computer, and
it is unlawful for you to use it. Can't be any more specific than that,
and one doesn't need to be a lawyer to understand that the term
'pirated' neans an unlawful copy, by definition. If you can't see that,
then you're either extremely naive or wilfully criminal in your intent.
There is no third choice, AFAICT.

Sir, I am using the OS that came with my Macintosh computer. I purchased
that computer with the operating system and paid for it. Why are you
people
persecuting me? I am new here and only seek knowledge.

Then why did you say that you were running MacOSX on a HP? Mac OSX PPC
won't run on an Intel Computer and the OSX/Intel version that comes
pre-installed on an Intel Mac won't install on one. If we have gotten
the wrong idea, here, then I appologize, but from the information you
gave "I'm typing this on an HP computer running OSX" its looks like you
would have to be running the old developer version which Apple DESIGNED
to run on a (fairly) generic Intel PC, because when that developer OS
was released, there were, as yet, no Intel Macs.

Sir, I stated that I am running OS X on a HP machine. I am running my legal
copy. The how of what I am doing is simply none of your business. If you
are willing to put up a large amount of money to satisfy your curiosity I
will be more than willing to show you the mechanics of how it is done. Why
people would accuse me of theft is beyond reason. They don't even know me
or my values, which are extremely high.

I'm sorry. I simply don't believe you. At the moment, one can only get a
copy of OSX Intel by purchasing an Intel Mac. There is no stand-alone
version available.

http://tinyurl.com/nllen

Even if one purchases a new Intel Mac, one gets the OS pre-installed
with only a restore disc, not an installable copy of the OS (which is
true of most Macs) and one simply cannot install the OS from a retore
disc, and even so, it wouldn't install on a generic PC like an HP. In
other words, "sir", the product that you say is your "legal copy"
doesn't even exist.

What version of OSX/Intel are you running?
