Some of you can probably afford these....
Probably not a good idea to announce you are selling "hot"
items!
heh, that's why I include the receipts! :)
How long until someone insists they are Photoshopped?
That might work but correct me if I'm wrong. Can't I look up
my warranty via the serial # on the Apple support site
somewhere?
Perhaps: but if I can - as some strongly imply or outright say -
alter
the
Google record why can't you be blamed of altering the Apple info?
LOL, I'm sure the Mac Jihad will claim that. Good Times. I doubt
any of them could afford either machine anyway. It does probably
piss them off that I have better Macs than they've ever had and
they sit literally unused for MONTHS.
Hey, I am still on a Single processor G4 800 Tower!
Once the Intel towers come out and Photoshop is moved to Intel I
might
seriously think of upgrading. When such towers come out do you
want
to
buy
one, use it for a couple weeks, and then sell it to me at a huge
discount?
:)

get
one
new
MacBookPro, but with the ability to use
XP on the same machine it doesn't make sense to NOT get one. Apple
is
stupid
for charging 3k to get the 17" macbook pro, it's a
stupid price point. Drop it to 2500 fully loaded and they might
actually
sell some.
Or they could not change the price and still sell them as fast as
they
can make them. What a choice for Apple to have to make! ;-)
Well, They could grab some market share if they just dropped the price
$500.
Are you going
to tell me they would start losing money on these 17" MacBook Pro's if
they
were $2499 with
2 gigs of ram and $3299 with 4 gigs.
Sure I'll buy one at the inflated price and so will thousands of
others.
But
"normal" users look at
me like i'm nuts for spending that much money on a computer of any
brand.
Only gadget junkies(me)
and true Mac nuts (you) will buy them at their current price.
They don't need more market share, as long as Apple keeps growing and
making money hand over fist, there is no need to do that.
How exactly are they going to "grow", without increasing market share?
Good Lord, you don't even understand business either?
If I sell 100 widgets this year in a market of 1 million I have a small
percentage of the widget market.
Next year I sell 200 widgets, but the market has grown to 1.5 million
widgets. I grew my business, but I lost market share.
Simple math...
Voodoo math. In electronics, as volume goes up - price freefalls. Good
Lord, how many "business" did you run.
And there's a price below which you can't go without losing money,
unless you make compromises. When you make compromises, often what you
lose is more than just money.
It's not voodo math there sad little ZERO. Of course running a lemonade
stand on the curb of your street, you'd be hard-pressed to know that.
