Hadn't thoght of that, You're right - and in that case, dual boot is
probably a better solution than having Windows running as a "guest OS"
on an Intel Mac.
Why? How could dual-boot be an advantage?
I'm assuming that running as a guest OS would incur some overhead. And
running Windows native without going through OSX as another layer of
abstraction would be faster.
When you're gaming, you don't care about working between several apps
at once, or about sharing screen space with other windows.
That's right. Dual-boot is better in that case. Why are you making my
case for me?
You certainly want every bit of processor speed and RAM you have in the
machine for advanced games.
Exactly. Another reason why dual-boot is better for games.
And you defnitely don't need to switch between two operating systems
when you have no attention at all on even the one OS that is running
the game.
Correct. Boot into Windows, play your game(s) and then log out and boot
back into OSX when finished. Maskes perfect sense.
