I don't think it's a "why not". I think this may have been one of the
main reasons Apple switched to Intel in the first place. Being able to
run Windows Whatever natively makes it a lot easier to switch to the
mac than it otherwise would have been.

IMO that is the real reason. Window users no longer have to replace all of

software when moving to the Mac as they did a week ago, which was, again

one of the main reasons not to switch.
