Looks like a flaw in Tiger's graphics display engine causes Safari to
crash just by browsing to certain pages. The same flaw also crashes
Finder, Preview.app, other system apps, and any app using WebKit and
WebCore. The flaw only affects Tiger.
Here's the MacNN story:
http://www.macnn.com/articles/06/03/29/new.flaw.crashes.safari/
It also crashes Shiira, which isn't all that surprising, being
that the Shiira website says:
"Shiira is a web browser based on Web Kit and written in Cocoa.
The goal of the Shiira Project is to create a browser that is
better and more useful than Safari. All source code used in this
software is publicly available."
so, anyone really wanting to dig into this one could download
the Shiira code and go digging.
