Oh and let's not forget the Kernel Panic.

So basically, you're reporting one problem and trying to make it
seem
like three.
Oh let me guess Mac Jihad... yes that's you George, Steve, Alan and
the
rest of the Brown-Eye Bandits... it never happens on your mac. LOL
What can I tell you: I've owned this Mac for more than 3 years. I've
had
3 OS crashes; at least one of which I fully expected because I was
doing
some testing at the time. So, yes, it happens.
No Alan, it happens alot. This PowerBooks is 2 months old with every
possible option maxed out by Apple. Perhaps I can jam 4 gigs of ram in
here!
No, Brian. It happens very seldom. In some ways, I wish it happened
more. If it did, I'd make more money, as I support Macs for a living.
Crashes aren't what makes the money, it's bad software that causes
crashes. The Windows OS is more complex and has many more programs so the
potential for crashes is greater. OS X is Unix and so it doesn't crash as
much because of less software and less complexity.
So because more applications *exist* for Windows, that makes it more
likely to crash? Riiiiiiiight! Do you make this stuff up on the fly,
or did you plagiarise this from another comedian? ;)
There is greater chance for crashes due to the large ammount of
software. How else can I say it. Mac would have two or three popular apps
for a task as where Windows would have 50 or 100. Most crashes are caused by
software that does not use memory correctly. Maybe you guys should go back
to puter school and learn something.
John
LOL
Applications on the Mac almost *never* cause the system to crash. Have
you not heard of memory protection?
