Of course not. After all, I haven't used any kind of windows since
win98.
Yet you base your opinion of the current version off of an obsolete
version.
Not to mention all the screenshots and articles written about it.
lol. Yet you do not extend this ability to the "Wintrolls". In this very
thread you just said:
"Because (unlike most wintrolls WRT the mac) I've actually used older
versions of Windows."
You insist that "Wintrolls" use a Mac before they form their opinion
about the Macintosh
Or at least have some knowledge of it.
That's not what you said:
"The average wintroll on this thread has never used a mac - of
any OS. I have used Windows - albeit of an older version - so I know
how awful MS OSes can be."
"Because (unlike most wintrolls WRT the mac) I've actually used older
versions of Windows."
The implication being that they're no qualified to comment on the
Macintosh because they've not used it.

You're kinda like edwin here, in that you read too much into what
other people say. That's your problem.

But setting that detail aside for the moment would you think them
qualified about the Macintosh if their knowledge came from something
like the following:
"Mac hangs after minimizing windows!"
http://www.computing.net/mac/wwwboard/forum/10755.html
and similar articles?

If that had been typical, then yes.

However; look at your average PC magazine and your typical Mac
magazine. Which uses most space on troubleshooting?

I'll agree with you that Windows 98 was unstable. But Windows XP is not
Windows 98.
That is also my impression.
Yet you form your opinion off of Windows 98.

I've replied to this particular falsehood several times now.

"You have this habit of reading things that support your point of view
and ignore what contradicts it."
Just like you do.
Examples?

"Yet you form your opinion off of Windows 98."
