Vista - stillborn?

After all that time, how many companies will bother with Vista?
A friend of mine works for BT, a major British company, and they are
just introducing an upgrade to XP to her computer. Vista, after all the
investment with hardly any particular improvement to boast will require
a lot more bribes and corporate muscle to introduce...
Who will bother? Of course the Wintrolls will be first adopters
(suckers :) but the how long until it gets to the average corporate
desktop?
If it really is more secure the IT bosses will delay its introduction,
if it was really easier to maintain same applies. Plus, after the delay
and stripping off of features and delay and more stripping off features
the novelty has worn off anyway so it is hardly a 'cutting edge' OS
should it ever really appear on the market.
Damp squid? Yes or no?
