....because they're written for a 2003 domain controller, not an XP
machine. On an XP box, go to Local Security Settings, Local Policies,
Security Options, Domain Member: Digitally encrypt... and Digitally
sign... and, I'd imagine, turn it all off. However, I have, on the
MCE box:

"Domain member: Digitally Encrypt... disabled, "Domain member:
digitally encrypt secure channel data" enabled, and domain member:
digitally sign secure channel data when possible" enabled, and one of
my 2 Macs can connect to it. The other cannot, regardless of name/pw.
Sigh.
