No, that would be totally Windows... uh, stupid I mean. There are tools that
ship with Mac that merges/syncs folders and files, not in the Finder, though.

Seeing that it's a really bad idea, and that Linux lately seem to want to copy
bad ideas from Windows... Plus, Linux hasn't been doing this for 10 years. The
"mv" command doesn't do anything of the kind, and 10 years ago, projects like
KDE and Gnome hardly existed.
