Every few months? It's pretty drastic to reinstall an entire OS.
Windows has made it so common it's the first thing many people think of.

I run the periodic daily/weekly/monthly maintenance routines every so
often and I haven't _ever_ had to reinstall. I can't see why it would
be necessary unless a person messes with system files.
