how about the quietness? probably not since they don't engineer their
own power supplies, nor logicboards, but yes, they could improve the
build quality.

Apple is a rather large PC vendor, many of the so called "wintel"
machines are not used as personal computers, they are dumb terminals, so
you need to shave off about 40% of the market for uses like cash
registers, info displays, etc, that is unless you want to include TVs as
"personal computers" :)

Apple sells lower priced items to Business, Apple sells a $699 full
powered desktop to Business, just as they do to Schools. And (you
probably meant laptops above) they sell fully equipped $999 laptops.

Why does it concern you? It's a positive movement by and large.

Who is this "he"?, hate to break the news but there is no god in the
christian sense. That's just make believe from a cult dating back only a
few thousand years.

then live a poor, unexamined life, i don't care. the universe is
infinitely bountiful, so limiting yourself to wintel pcs is unneeded.
