My Mac doesn't care where the KVM switch is set, it works perfectly and
ALWAYS comes to life when one switches back to it from the other
computer. The PC, OTOH, never queries the USB ports again, after one has
switched away from the PC for more than a few minutes. and if I don't
have a PS/2 mouse already connected and sitting behind the PC, the only
option is to reboot and lose all one's work. At least with the PS/2
mouse, its possible to save the work in progress before rebooting
Windows so that the USB stuff works again.
BTW, all the USB options are "on" in the BIOS.
