Seems to me that Enderle has more in common with Edwin than three
letters of his name.

He makes some total bull*** argument that even a moment's checking
would have disproven, then when people point out how wrong he was, he
refuses to admit his error, but changes his original statement and comes
up with another incorrect statement, then continues to defend his
revised incorrect statement.

And then Mayor jumps in and foolishly supports all his erroneous
statements.
