Brilliant logic, you should be a CFO! You spend your $6840 on the macs, I'll
buy the 3 Dell's for 1710 (14% taxes on both)
Notice the tax alone on the macs will almost pay for 2 more Dell laptops

After 5 years:

I'll invest the $5130 at 7% = approx $7200. Sell the 3 Dells for 300 each,
Total $8100

You sell your Macs for $800 (generous) each = $2400

You just lost approx 6 grand on the mac deal! So much for resale value.

Don't quit your day job

And don't offset my argument with talk of virus, better SW, productivity
gains, TCO. It's all highly subjective.
