So stop being the world's police; you suck at it (Viet Nam, Rwanda, Afghanistan, Iraq).

And stop pretending you're the world's welfare check. That only works as internal propaganda to people who don't pay attention. Once compared against per-capita spending of other countries, the US

Bull***. The 'Per capita' figures are an artificial measurement, and do not do not accurately measure the aid rendered by private sector contributions, and are only a >ratio< of aid spending by the >federal< government/population. They conveniently ignore/overlook the aid rendered by individual states, public corporations, and the private sector, and our private sector outpaces most every other country by *far* - always has, and most likely will for the forseeable future.

Japan and Germany got into a bidding war over who could donate more relief to the Christmas Tsunami victims? The US generously offered $15M;

$15 million? As a downpayment perhaps. We're still pouring money into that one through American private organizations. Hell, the MCC (Mennonite Central Committee) has given better than 3 times that figure themselves, and that's only *one* private american organization.

Germany and Japan each quickly topped $500M.

That's nice... and totally irrelevant.

So you're the world's bully. Hey, what will you do when all that foreign debt you're piling up to pay for the Iraq war comes due? Hey, do you know who owns that debt? Do you care? Probably not.

Yeah, China. So what... let them try to come and collect. Ever hear of nationalizing businesses?
