@newsfe20.ams2:
Can you please help, I am rather concerned. System Mechanic is givinga
warning, see the following:
Perform diagnostics
Monitor hard drive status -Drive status ok
Drive attribute -Load,Unload Cycle = warning:
The hardware sensor indicates that the attribute is close to failing
I don't know what this means and would be grateful for advise.
My System: Microsoft Window XP
Home edition Version 2002 Service Pack 2
Intel(R) Pentium (R) M processor 512 MB of Ram
Many thanks in advance.

It means your system is just fine and System Mechanic, like your virus
scanner, is soon going to be hitting you up for another year
subscription fee. It's trying to, quite successfully it seems, scare
you into re-upping the subscription so you'll transfer money from your
account to theirs....
If you system had failed, you'll know immediately because System
Mechanic will have no operating system to boot into...your system died.
As it booted in a timely manner....it's fine.....
You really SHOULD do a Windows Update from Internet EXplorer and get the
upgrade to Service Pack 3 with all the latest update stuff. That's free
from Micro$oft and patches a whole line of holes....

I've decided to worship Thor. My god has a hammer and isn't
afraid to use it. Your god is a pacifist who got nailed to a
tree.
Any questions?
