My Fujitsu Nseries Lifebook (with Windows XP) has a problem. The
monitor will 'white out' for a long time before turning off the
power. I re-installed XP-Pro. First I got some errors in the device
manager. After downloading/installing the device drivers from the
Fujitsu website, the laptop was working fine for 4-5 hours. Then the
monitor 'white-out' problem happened again. Now it happens 1-2
minutes after turn on the PC.

What's wrong with the monitor? Need to re-install the video driver?

That would be a great start. Never reformat without grabbing the drivers first. Use something like DriverBackup!
