I have a Dell monitor hooked up to my desktop, and I connected my
laptop to my desktop in the hopes of trying to get the desktop
display on both my monitor and my laptop.
I'm using a DVI cable to go from the desktop to the monitor and a VGA
cable to go from the laptop to the desktop.

For some reason, when I do the extend desktop, it won't extend to the
laptop, only create a screen I can't get too.

Is there anyway to use my laptop as an extended screen for my desktop,
or am I just a fool lol...

Well when I use my Gateway MX6124 with my Proview 19 inch LCD monitor, only one works as extended. I think the external monitor has to be the extended one here.
