I've just bought a new battery for my HP ZD7000, since my original one
looked like gone. But to my suprise the new one is not working
properly: after a couple of hours of recharge it just lasted 20
minutes, i reapeated the cycle and I got the same results.
I installed MobileMeter and I can see the wear level jumping to 29 %
after some cycles. It really looks like the power management is
ruining my batteries.
Is there any advanced tool to diagnose what's going on?
Thanks,
A real new battery or some cheap knock-off you found somewhere
unmentionable. If it isn't a factory battery, you know little more
than you did before. The problem could be a crappy battery or a
problem with the charging circuit or power adapter.
